Multispectral imaging enables to study this hardly reachable environment.

Identifying the various species of algae through multispectral image processing is a valuable complement and even supplement to current and necessary ground-based inventory in inaccessible plots such as mudflats

The data acquisition campaigns lead by the CEVA in 2007 and 2008 have shown four main dominant species spreading on the Jaudy mudflat (Cotes d'Armor) in Brittany.
